Let’s Unpack This Scripture and Video
What you just witnessed or participated in is a deliverance session. Deliverance like everything else is a process. Most of us have heard the saying “You’ve tried the rest now try the best.” That’s me. I’m a survivor of almost every abuse. I was so wounded by the church, it took 20 years of Buddhism to completely choose Jesus as the savoir of my life. John 8:23 is a reality for me. The victory I’ve experienced, I want to share. So let’s start unpacking.
Luke 4:18-19 NASB
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”
A Practical Application
As followers of Christ we have the Holy Spirit
We have been empowered to choose if we will bring good news to those in need.
We have a testimony that brings release to those in bondage.
And with truth we can bring light to darkness
Exposing deception and setting captives free
